About

The Alice in Wonderland inspired Cafe is owned and operated by Victoria Handley and Ashvin Patel since November 2010. The inspiration came from traveling and seeing the world. Ash and Victoria met in London and have now settled down in Whanganui (Victoria’s home town). Job opportunities were limited so they decided to put their combined business knowledge together and open a cafe in the empty site (once a thriving cafe called Sidewalk).

Ash managed COSTA Coffee for 5 years in London so it made sense to put his manager and barista skills together. Since owning T 4 2, he has won for 4 years running Best Barista in the CBD. They also won best Cafe and Best Customer Service in the CBD through Mainstreet's Best of the Best Poll.

Victoria has a degree in Consumer and Applied Science (Majored in Food Science and Minored in Human Nutrition). By combining her passion for cooking and background knowledge gives the cafe flare and allows her to bake a wide variety of food. Her specialty is adapting old recipes and converting them into Gluten Free sensations. All the food is fresh & homemade on site by either Victoria or other staff. They pride themselves in serving hot coffee and delicious fresh food from the cabinet or menu board.

Sewing Buds 

Knit, embroider, crochet, cross stitch any type of hand sewing goes. Sit, sew, relax and chat away with new and old friends.

Share patterns, ideas and get together with a group of ladies on a frequent base and sew away over a cuppa and delicious cake. So all you ladies that have unfinished projects hiding in your cupboard pull them out and come along to Victoria’s T 4 2 and get inspired by others and yarn away with your needles and friends. It's very informal, all you have to do is bring your sewing and yourself and maybe buy a coffee or a cup of tea.

The ladies meet every second Monday 1;30pm and Every second Saturday at 10:30am

151 Conference Room

151 on London is a great place to stay when visiting Whanganui. It also has a fantastic conference room that can be used for a memorable meeting, seminar, team building event, wedding, special occasion or conference, in Wanganui. They have a variety of settings and facilities to suit all requirements and they will endeavour to make your occasion or event unique. Victoria's T42 provides the main catering but other options are available.
